Local Cinema Review

Editorial policy

Local Cinema Review aims to make its writing clear, considered and fair to the films and places it discusses. We separate observation from interpretation and take care not to present a screen image as the whole story of a community.

Accuracy and context

We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and provide context where a film, place or screen tradition could otherwise be misread. Interpretations are presented as interpretations, not established facts. When evidence is limited or uncertain, our wording should make that clear.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to the publication's subject. A partnership or other commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, and we do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for support.

Corrections

If you notice an error, please contact us through the Contact page and include enough detail for us to locate and check it. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors with care; a correction should clarify the record rather than quietly obscure a meaningful change.

Partner material

Sponsored or partner material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner placements are labelled, and their presence does not imply that the publication endorses every claim or service described.
